Dale Potter1948 ~ 2012Cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother died November 8, 2012. Dale earned his accounting, MBA and law degrees from the University of Utah where he received several academic honors including graduating Magna cum Laude and serving as the Managing Editor of the Utah Law Review. He began his career with Arthur Andersen, a big five accounting firm. Dale taught accounting at the University of Utah and built a law practice before becoming the owner and President of Premier Computing, Inc. He attended Murray High School and enjoyed playing sports throughout his life. He was respected and loved by those he worked with and led by example. Dale loved spending time with family, especially being with his wife and grandchildren. His wife, Julie, daughters Michelle Murphy and Melissa Giovale (Danny Giovale), six grandchildren, Megan Murphy, Matthew Murphy, Jacob Murphy, Lindsey Murphy, Heather Giovale and Katie Giovale, son Michael Potter, who preceded him in death, and many nieces and nephews, will miss his loving presence, strong moral example, encouragement and support he gave to pursue their dreams. Dale will be remembered by his family, friends and acquaintances as a strong and loving man with an unfailing belief in people and their ability to pursue goals and succeed through hard work and integrity. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden Heights North Ward, 2220 East Fisher Lane (2935 South). Friends and family can visit Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
