NORTH SALT LAKE — A city official is moving on after more than 15 years of service to North Salt Lake.

Brian Passey is leaving his position as finance director and assistant city manager. He will take a new position as finance manager with Snyderville Basin Water Reclamation District.

A press release from the city said it has seen many improvements during Passey's tenure. North Salt Lake was able to pay cash for a new City Hall and public works facilities after a 10-year plan of saving and deferred consumption. North Salt Lake maintains more than $5 million in liquid, strategic capital reserves; the reserve was less than $1 million when Passey took his position.

The city also has been able to construct two parks through tax funding, and from 1998-2009 received more than $900,000 in CDBG funding for street improvements along Orchard and Odell Lanes, the press release said.
