Margaret Manning1935 ~ 2012STORY CITY, IOWAOur beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Margaret Ann Nelson Manning, age 77, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Abbington on Grand in Ames, Iowa.She was born April 27, 1935 in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Duane Miller and Naomi Horne Nelson. She graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1953. She earned her degree in education and was a school teacher for over 30 years in the Davis County School District in Bountiful, Utah. Margaret had been living in Story City, Iowa and enjoyed retirement by watching sports on TV. She loved animals and birds. She enjoyed doing genealogy and family history.Margaret is survived by her two sons: Dan and Donna Manning of Phoenix, Arizona; Tony and Cindy Manning of Story City, Iowa; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers: John D. Nelson of Salt Lake City; Magnus C. and Marilyn Haynie Nelson of St. George.She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant sons, Edward Lee Manning and Douglas James Manning.Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Richfield City Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Thursday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the services.
