Harry George Slade1929 ~ 2012Harry George Slade, age 83, of Murray, Utah passed away November 7, 2012 at his granddaughter's home in Herriman, Utah. He was born August 25, 1929 in Redmesa, Colorado to James C. Slade and Catherine A. Wilden. He married Janice Jean Weaver on October 15, 1951.Harry was an active member of the LDS church and served in many callings. He loved the gospel with all his heart. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved BYU and the Jazz. He was unbeatable in every Rook card game. Harry was a loving father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all. He is survived by: his wife of 61 years, Janice ~ the love of his life; his five children, Marlene (Rick) Greenhalgh; Kathy (Rod) Mackie; Robert (Jennie) Slade; Susan (Steve) Petters; and Cynthia Lee; 29 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren; brother, Everett Slade; sisters Jeannine Adair, Audrey Henry; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceded in death by: parents; three brothers and two sisters; and a grandson.Services will be held Monday, November 19 at 12:00 noon at Millcreek 9th Ward, 4280 S Jeannine Drive. Viewings will be held Sunday, November 18 at Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S. 900 E. from 6-8 p.m. and again one hour prior to services at the church.
