Florine Inez Febo Bernardo Cristaudo1922 ~ 2012BOUNTIFUL, UTChris passed away on November 21, 2012, surrounded by loving family members. She will be sorely missed, but we are comforted to know that she now enjoys renewed associations with her family as well as the ability to run, hear and go! go! go! the way she did for so many years. Mom was born either July 23 or 24 (depending on whether you ask the attending physician or her mother), 1922, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Vincente Febo and Maria Iacino Febo, who immigrated to Utah from southern Italy. She was raised by her mother and caring stepfather, Sam Bernardo, in Bountiful, Utah. She married Anthony Cristaudo, but later divorced. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, stillborn twin sons, and infant daughter Linda Marie. She is survived by her brother, Eddy (Ginny) Febo; son, Dave (Mary) Cristaudo; daughter, Gina (Michael) McConkie; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Each family member is important to her and she prayed fervently for them daily. She was a long time member of St. Olaf's and St. Vincent's parishes and she took great strength from her belief that God hears her prayers.Mom loves animals and passed that trait on to many of her descendants. Her pets gave her a sense of purpose, and even in her late years, she enjoyed getting out of the house to give Dexter a ride on her Jazzy to make his rounds four times a day.Chris has treasured memories of the lifelong friendships forged with DeAnna, Belva, and Rita while caring for the patients at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City. She felt loved by her neighbors at Village on Main and her friendships in Bountiful made this the happiest home she had in all her 90 years. We thank EACH family member or friend from New Jersey to Florida to Utah for your love. Every visit and phone call brought her happiness. The nurses who cared for her during her many hospital stays over the years have made all the difference. We thank Dr. Raymond Ward for his attentive care. Friends may call on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Village Activity Center, 1525 North Main Street in Bountiful from 6 to 8 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
