Melvin D. Krambule1944 ~ 2012Melvin D. Krambule, 68, passed away unexpectedly of heart problems on November 25, 2012 at his home in Sandy, Utah. He was born on September 19, 1944 in Logan, Utah to Melvin J. and Elsie Jackson Krambule. Mel married Susan Anderson Welch on January 15, 1964 in Logan, Utah. Solemnized in the Logan Utah Temple on March 3, 1967. Mel was a great guy who was best known for his beautiful yard, immaculate cars and ability to deliver a punch line. He worked hard every day of his life to support not only his own children, but later to help out their spouses and his grandchildren. He loved the sun, his quick trips to Wendover, puttering outside, travelling anywhere warm, and most of all, his family. He will be missed by everyone. Most of all, his wife Sue, whose phone calls he answered, not with "Hello?" but, "Hi Beautiful". His kids, who he saw or talked to on the phone every single day. His grandkids, who worshipped him, teased him, travelled with him learned from him, and just hung out with him everyday. Mel made and kept friends everywhere he went, from his early days in the navy and working at Sears, to his many years as a painter at Granite School District. Everyone was worthy of one of his jokes, friends, family, neighbors, nurses, salesman, even ride attendants at Disneyland. More than just his own kids and grandkids considered him "Dad" and "Grandpa Mel" and many many more considered him friend. We all love you and will miss you terribly. Survived by his wife, Sue; children, Ron (Marj) Krambule, Jerry (Emelia) Krambule, Melissa (Kerry) Horrocks and Michelle (Chris) Houston; grandchildren, Sonjia, Alex, Tash, Josh, Kenzie, Madie, Kolby, Katie, Khloe and Kasey Mel; great granddaughter, Miss Emily; siblings, Yvonne Crittenden, Dixie Yates and D'Orr (Nancy) Krambule; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Lynn, Larry and Kay. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Edgemont Ward, 9800 S. Flint Drive, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street and 1 hour prior to the services, at the church. Interment, Franklin Idaho Cemetery.www.goffmortuary.com
