Blanche Anderson Margetts1919 ~ 2012Salt Lake City, UTBlanche Anderson Margetts, 93, of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away in her sleep on Monday, October 31. She was born October 1, 1919, in Gunnison, Utah to Gustaf Sanford Anderson and Selma Rosenlund Anderson. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served with all her heart in her callings in the Church. She also served in various local women's organizations and loved bowling with her friends. She was in her element and took great delight when she had large dinners for family and extended family at her house or the cabin. She was a great cook; even her grandsons took lessons from "Grandma." She loved to garden, knit and do crafts. Her family was very important to her and she adored her 12 grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. They will miss her sweet smile and hugs. She was an inspiration to all that knew her. She married Lynn Folsom Margetts on January 11, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple and enjoyed 72 years of happy marriage. She is survived by her husband Lynn, and three daughters, Carolyn (Robert) Wallace, Las Vegas; Barbara (David) Lattin, Salt Lake City; Chris (Nile) Latta, St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Rex E. Anderson, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by sisters, Lorraine Halliday, Bernice Peterson Jarrett and a brother, Harvey Anderson. Our family would like to express our gratitude to Sunrise Senior Center on Highland Drive for the loving care given to Mom. Funeral service is Monday, November 5, 2012 at 11:00am at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary (3401 S. Highland Dr.). Friends and family may visit one hour before the service.
