Book review: 'Sadie' intriguing mystery-adventure-romance

"Sadie" is an intriguing read from the first paragraph, gripping readers and pulling them right into the story.

Money, mystery, danger, excitement and fear all are woven into Sadie's life.

When approached by FBI agents with an offer to be an informer with a large monetary reward as the prize, Sadie is angered and tempted at the same time. Large debts that Sadie cannot pay haunt her, and now the FBI places a way out. But it's not just any case, it's her wealthy and powerful boyfriend they are after.

But who is telling the truth? It's Sadie dilemma to find out who is lying and who she can trust.

When Sadie unknowingly helps the FBI, her boyfriend believes he was sold out. Fleeing for her life into the freezing night after being the victim of her boyfriend's revenge, her life path takes a turn when Sadie is rescued by four ski buddies, two of whom are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

At first mistrusting and afraid, Sadie then learns that maybe, just maybe, there is an answer for her. But she must first survive the dangers that threaten her.

A great read for lovers of mystery, adventure, law enforcement stories, romance and Mormon subjects, "Sadie" is a captivating read.

"Sadie" keeps readers on the edge of their seats until the very last word.

Born and raised in Bountiful, Utah, Rebecca Belliston is the sixth of seven children. She penned her first song at the tender age of six and has been creating works every since. Her interest include writing music, writing fiction, scrapbooking, family history work, some sports, graphic design and teaching.

Belliston currently lives in Detroit, Mich., with her husband Troy and their five children. "Sadie" is Belliston's first novel.
