Our Take: Loyalty to friends doesn't only apply to humans. A street dog stays with its fallen friend in dangerous conditions, and will be up for adoption Monday.

Los Angeles, Calif. A line is expected to form at the Baldwin Park animal shelter Monday, when a Labrador Retriever that made worldwide headlines for its loyalty will be placed for adoption.

The black lab is now named Grace by shelter workers. She was photographed standing guard in a busy La Puente street last week, next to the body of a yellow lab that had been struck and killed in heavy morning commute traffic.
