DES MOINES, Iowa — The U.S. Marshals Service has offered a reward to help officers find a Des Moines man accused of sexually abusing three of his nine children.
The Des Moines Register reported Wednesday that the service has joined the search for the man.
The hunt has ranged as far away as Salt Lake City, where his van was found. The service is offering a $3,500 reward.
Des Moines police say the children were removed from their parents' custody after eight counts of abuse were filed against the father and three counts of neglect were filed against the mother.
Authorities say the family had been living in a game store the father opened in Des Moines.
The Associated Press is not using the couple's names, to protect the privacy of the children.
