Ronald Heard Davey1931 - 2012Ron died May 10, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah of heart failure. He was born August 13, 1931 to James Arthur Davey and Selma Eldora Force in Warren, Ohio. He graduated from Cal Polly in San Louis Obispo, where he was the quarterback and class president. After completing an LDS mission to Brazil, he received an MBA at the University of Utah. He married Janet Christopherson June 14, 1957 in the Salt Lake City Temple. He was an investment broker by trade and loved working in the garden, known fondly by the neighborhood as the "tomato king." He loved the scouting program and spent years encouraging young men to get their eagles, recently receiving a District Award of Merit from the Red Butte District. He had a big heart and loved to help others. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.Survived by his wife, Janet, daughters Carolyn Elizabeth and Christine (Steven) Nielsen, 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, sister, Jean Macdonald (Campbell, CA) and twin brother, Donald Force Davey (Sandy, UT), and many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank IMC doctors and nurses in the thoracic ICU and acute rehab floor for the wonderful care they provided.Friends and family may call Monday, May 14, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. A family graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
