I venture to say that the horrible accident that occurred in Provo Canyon on Sunday, May 6, probably had a lot to do with the massive road construction going on in the area. Whoever made the decision to embark on this frenetic undertaking going on throughout the state ought to be fired.
How many times have I come "this close" to getting into numerous traffic accidents as I try to navigate around poorly placed orange cones, changing-by-the-hour freeway closures, traffic lights that no longer work and disappearing lanes on the freeway? Not too long ago, as I drove to Provo on I-15 late at night with rain pouring down while trying in vain to find how to exit, I nearly collided into a semi-truck. The examples I could give are endless.
I submit that whoever designed this madness has blood on his or her hands and more coming.
