SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Public Safety announced its fifth annual DRIVE AWARE. RIDE AWARE. campaign to educate and encourage both motorcyclists and motorists to share the road and to recognize each other while driving. Motorcycle crash victim Brandon Wright was thee keynote speaker.
Utah is declaring May to be Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month in an effort to increase awareness of motorcycles and to reduce crashes. Last year, there were 28 motorcyclists killed on motorcycles and this year, there have been four victims so far, according to a press release.
