David Gordon "Jake" JacobsonOctober 13, 1942 ~ May 12, 2012David was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to AOH Jacobson and Maxine Boden Jacobson. Dave grew up in Salt Lake City but moved to Pocatello, Idaho his senior year and graduated from Pocatello High School. He followed the careers of his maternal grandfather Roscoe Boden, his dad and two uncles and retired as a Survey Party Chief for Salt Lake County Surveyor's office. His only daughter, Alesha Schultz, passed away in 2007. She is survived by her three children and husband who reside in Wisconsin. Dave possessed a fabulous personality and a great wit and sense of humor. When you met Dave, you knew you had met someone extra special. Two special friends of Dave are Jan Mawson and his great buddy Dean Baadsgaard.Dave is survived by his three grandchildren, his brother Stan (Pat) Jacobson, two aunts, a niece and nephew and many, many cousins.Special thanks to the staff of Mt. Olympus Rehabilitation Center for their care of David.A funeral service will be held Friday, May 18, 2012 in the Larkin Mortuary (260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT) at 12:00 noon. The family will meet with friends prior to services from 11 to 11:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will follow in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
