SALT LAKE CITY — City leaders have allocated $10,000 in matching grant money for neighborhood business districts.
Through the annual grant program, Salt Lake City officials seek to strengthen neighborhood businesses, saying they provide identity, vitality and a sense of place for residents, as well as economic stability and visual anchors for communities.
Grant funds will not exceed $2,000 per project and will depend on the number and strength of eligible proposals submitted.
Funds must be used for promotional events, marketing, branding initiatives or beautification projects. The grant cycle will remain open while funds are available, though applications will not be reviewed until after June 15.
