Obituary: WEST, ROBERT

Robert W. West1927~ 2012Robert West passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the LDS Hospital. Bob was born on December 25, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the youngest child of Nephi W. West and Margurite W. West. He married Colleen W. West in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2008 and also three children preceded him in death in infancy, Tamara, Christopher and Nathan. He is survived by three children, Chad Robert, Shannon Waters and Kimberly Martinelli, eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.He served in the US Army Signal Corps. during the Korean War. He served an LDS mission in the southern states and was active in the LDS church. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Utah in General Speech. He received an M.A. degree from BYU in General Speech with an emphasis on Public Address. He worked for the Department of Education for the LDS church for over 30 years and retired. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 18, 2012 with a viewing at 1 p.m. Service at 2 p.m at the LDS Bridlewood Ward 165 West Monarch Dr. in Bountiful, Utah. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery following the services.
