Glenda Clarke MonroeLoving MotherGlenda Clarke Monroe passed away at her home on May 16, 2012. She was born on February 11, 1949 to Phifer and Willie Clarke in Morganton, North Carolina. She was an avid tennis player, liked watching football, and visiting with her grandchildren. Glenda was a lover of all animals, especially dogs. Glenda loved her daughters.Glenda is survived by her husband, Charles O. Monroe, Jr. of South Jordan, her daughters: Amy (John) Maxfield of Colorado, Jenny (Tom) Gorman of Kentucky; seven grandchildren, brother Don Clarke of Idaho and sister Judy Baker of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah, with a viewing from 11:00 to 12:00 PM prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to No More Homeless Pets of Utah.
