Obituary: ALLRED, FAYE

Faye P. Allred1916 ~ 2012Velma Faye Pierce Malmgren Allred, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away May 16, 2012 at her home in Nephi, Utah.She was born May 23, 1916 in Fayette, Utah to Orson Harvey and Mary Tyson Pierce and is the last of 10 children. She married Erick Cleo Malmgren April 17, 1935. After 37 years of marriage, Cleo passed away February 9. 1973. She married Earl Allred February 6, 1980. He died March 12, 2003.She attended school in Levan and Nephi graduating from Juab High School. She was a member of the LDS church and served in the Primary. Faye and her husband were on the ward reunion committee and Lions Club. She learned to work hard cooking for sheep shearers and was a good cook. She enjoyed making quilts.She is survived by her five children, Donna (Ted) Jones of Nephi; Sharleen (Glen) Jarrett of Salt Lake City; Ed (Carlene) Malmgren of Nephi; Beverly (Delmar) Howlett of Orem; Renae (Ed) Hicks of Pottsboro, Texas; 18 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren,and 28 great great grandchildren; Earl's children, Eddes, Jim, Neil, Gayle, Susan, and Robert. Preceded in death by 6 sisters, Pearl, Clora, McPherson, Lucille Shepherd, Theda Chase, Lois Shepherd, and Leatrice Sandors; 3 brothers, Arvil, Ray, and Owen Pierce.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100 West. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Levan Cemetery.
