Simone Sarah Secretin"Maman"Simone Secretin, 97, peacefully slipped into the presence of her Savior and loving arms of her husband Alex and parents on May 14, 2012. What a joyous reunion in heaven!Simone was born January 14, 1915 to Maximilien and Emerence Renard in Seraing, Belgium. She married Alexandre Secretin in 1937. Their marriage was solemnized in 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. She and Alex, with daughter Anita, immigrated to the United States in 1949, but returned to Belgium to be near aging parents and family. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she faithfully supported Alex's many callings in branch, district and mission presidencies. Hundreds of French missionaries fondly recall delicious weekly meals "chez Secretin." Simone and Alex immigrated a second time in 1978 to be near their daughter and beloved grandchildren. Everyone who met Simone loved her.Survived by daughter Anita (Sidney) Sager; grandchildren Eric (Patricia) Sager, Karinne (David) Westenskow, and Steven Sager; 15 great-grandchildren: Melissa and Aaron, Brandon and Jamie, Ashley, Priscillia, Karianne, Samantha, Sarah, Sabrina, Spencer, Isabelle, Jessica, Alexandra and Michael.We love you Maman and are happy you are reunited with Papa.Funeral Services scheduled at 12 noon, Monday, May 21 at Holladay-Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary, 4670 So.
