Bert A. Ruesch12/7/1921 ~ 05/19/2012Mt. Pleasant, UTBert Andrew Ruesch passed away May 19, 2012 at Autumn Park Assisted Living in Mt. Pleasant, UT surrounded by his family. He was born December 7, 1921 in Mt. Pleasant to Frank Eugene and Mary Alberta Rolph Ruesch. He was the fourth of eight children, each of whom have preceded him in death. He began his military service with the Utah National Guard Battery D222 in 1939 in Mt. Pleasant, then in 1941 was inducted into the Army on March 3, 1941 and went on to serve in WWII in Germany, France and England. Upon return from WWII he married his lifelong companion Zola Anderson on February 6, 1946 in the Manti Temple. Bert has always had a love for people and has dedicated his life to serving others. He is survived by his wife Zola, children Helen Diane (Elliott) Lund of Mt. Pleasant; Marilyn (Richard) Nielsen of Moroni; Larry Bert (Robyn) Ruesch of Sandy; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Friday May 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Pleasant 5th ward church (49 South State). Friends and family may call Thur. May 24, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary (96 N 100 W) Mt. Pleasant and Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with military honors. Online condolences may be made at www.rasmussenmortuary.com
