Maretta Moon VanWeerd1934 ~ 2012Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Maretta Moon VanWeerd passed away May 17, 2012.She was born January 13, 1934 to Artimus W. and Isabelle H. Moon. Married Fred M. VanWeerd Sr. on June 7, 1967 in Salt Lake City. He preceded her in death. She was a very active member of the LDS Church serving in many callings and in the Southern States Mission. Active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was loved by all who knew and came in contact with her. After 40 years she is reunited with her sweetheart, Fred. Survived by her sons, Fred (Ann), Mitchell (Karen), Quinton (Tami), Kenn (Debbie), James and Troy; 18 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin (Carolyn); sister, LaRene and sister-in-law, Betty. Preceded in death by a grandson; parents; a brother and two sisters.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 22nd, 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful 53rd Ward, 1365 No. 650 E., Bountiful. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. West Jordan, and Tuesday from 9:30 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
