Carolyn Scharman 8/11/1959 ~ 5/19/2012Our daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend passed away on May 19, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born August 11, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Richard and Delores Scharman. She is survived by her parents, daughter, Aubreya Scharman, sister, Robyn (Michael) Brade, brothers, Dan, Brian, Mark (Kim), Chris (Amy), Brett (Jodi), Scott (Robyn), and many nieces and nephews who she loves dearly. A brother, Michael, sister-in-law, Kymm, grandparents, aunts and uncles, who she said she was excited to see, precede her in death. She attended local schools, graduating from Brighton High School in the class of 1977. In Carolyn's last days she was able to visit with many special friends whom she loves so much and found so much joy in experiencing life with. Her love and stories of her Bunco friends were commonplace and she dearly loved them as sisters. She warned us if her Bunco friends were not mentioned, she would hold us accountable. Carolyn's love of her special daughter is an example for us all. Aubreya loves her mom and showed it through her service and devotion right to the end. Carolyn held a family meeting to express her wishes and planned her services as well as told us how much she loves us.Carolyn's message to us was "I'm stronger than you all thought". Her example of enduring to the end with honor and love was demonstrated throughout her fight with cancer, never losing her compassion and concern for her family and certainly not her sense of humor. Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She expressed her love of the Savior and confidence in the Plan of Salvation. These memories will be cherished as an example of how to live and love, how to endure to the end for all of us who love her.
