SALT LAKE CITY — Eighth-grade students at Rowland Hall School in Salt Lake City have been studying the issue of homelessness in Salt Lake City in their American Studies classes.

Students have volunteered at the Volunteers of America's Homeless Youth Outreach Center in Salt Lake City and now they are drawing the community's attention to the crisis of homeless youth by placing 1,000 white marking flags in front of their school, according to a press release.
