SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah men's basketball signee Jordan Loveridge has been named to PARADE's 56th Annual All-America basketball team. The announcement will appear in Parade Magazine's May 27th issue.
"This is a tremendous honor for Jordan and it recognizes all of his hard work," said Utah head coach Larry Krystkowiak. "He works as hard any high school athlete out there and it's a great award for him to take as a springboard into his collegiate career. Hopefully it is one of many more accolades to come, and he deserves each one he gets."
Loveridge has continued to pile up local and national accolades following his senior season. An ESPNU Top 100 recruit, he was named the 2012 5A Player of the Year in Utah after leading the state in scoring and rebounding while collecting 18 double-doubles. Following the season, he participated in the BallisLife All-American game in Fullerton, Calif., where he scored 26 points and won the event's 3-point shooting contest. Loveridge lead West Jordan High School to the state semifinals in 2012 after a region championship and state finals appearance in 2011. He was named league MVP that year as well.
