KayLyn Watts Bay"Grandma Kay"Our beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister, KayLyn Watts Bay, left this life on May 19, 2012. KayLyn was born December 2, 1955 in Lehi, Utah to Buddy and Lillian Watts. She was raised in the Holladay area in Salt Lake County in the love of her parents and among her friends and siblings. Even at a young age she was known as a hard worker. KayLyn experienced tragedy in her early teens when her father died in a construction accident. She graduated from Olympus High School, and later married her long-time sweetheart Richard Park Bay in the Salt Lake Temple on December 17, 1976. They were blessed with five children. As they raised their family, KayLyn provided a home of love, nurturing and teaching. She was a good homemaker, with everything clean and beautiful at home. She lived frugally, to give more to others. She created memories and family traditions that will be treasured for years to come. She proved herself to be brave in the face of near-constant pain, with a frail body and a will of iron. KayLyn loved her grandchildren, and was "Grandma Kay" to them. She could not rest until ensuring all were having fun and being served. When seeing a bumper sticker saying "My grandchildren are cuter than yours", she said "You're wrong-you haven't seen mine!" KayLyn is a woman of faith and love for her Heavenly Father. She lived an exemplary life for her family and friends. KayLyn was preceded in death by her father Buddy Warren Watts. She is survived by her mother Lillian Watts Jones; husband Richard; sons Michael, Brian (Christine) and David (Rachel); daughters Katie Nosack (Phil) and Camille Bay; and grandchildren Natalie, Addy, Hanna, Sadie, Brody, Callie and Brynley; brothers Jeffery, David (Natalie), and DeLyle Watts; and sister Claudia (Chris) Edge. Funeral services will be held Thurs. May 24, at 11:00 a.m. at the River Ridge 7th Ward, 10200 South 1300 West. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, and Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at Ward prior to the services. Interment will be at Elysian Burial Gardens. Online condolences may be posted at www.larkinmortuary.com.
