Stanley Reuben Sharp1926 ~ 2012Stanley Reuben Sharp, 85, passed away on May 19, 2012 at his home in Midvale, Utah. Born on June 13, 1926, in East Midvale, Utah, to Reuben Henry and Olive Leah Swenson Sharp. Attended Midvale Schools and graduated from Jordan High School in 1944. Served from 1944-46 in the U. S. Army with 18 months in the European Theatre of Operations, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. Served from 1947-49 in the North Central States LDS Mission, laboring in Minnesota and South Dakota. Married Nancy Jean Morley August 11, 1952, in the Salt Lake Temple. Attended the University of Utah, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1953, and attained a Master of Education in 1972. He taught school 33 years in Jordan and Granite School Districts. He was a member of Beehive, Owl and Key, and Skull and Bones; belonged to Delta Phi, the returned missionaries' fraternity. Active member of the LDS Church. Survivors: wife; daughter, Janet (Jerry) Wellman; sons, Craig Stanley (Sharron) Sharp and Ryan Lee Sharp; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Midvale Third Ward Chapel, 7825 South Olympus Street. Viewing from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street on Thursday evening and 1 hour prior to the services, at the church. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.www.goffmortuary.com
