Harold Douglas Morris "Together Again"Harold Douglas Morris, our beloved Father, Grandfather, and "Grandpa Great" passed away May 21, 2012, at the age of 95. He was surrounded by loving family at his home, at the time of his passing. Harold was born in Oil Springs, Kentucky, on January 5, 1917, to Tallahassee Litteral and Thomas Benson Morris. His parents died during the flu epidemic when he was two years old. He and his older brother Bob were then raised by their Aunt Hannah Litteral on the family farm. He graduated from high school in Oil Springs as class valedictorian. Harold was a veteran of World War II, A Captain in the Army Air-Corps. He served as a pilot and was a decorated war hero, having flown B-17 and B-24 bombers on 35 combat missions. Harold met and married the love of his life, Vivian Irene Parry. They were married on December 3, 1942. Over the years, thirteen children would come into their home. From those 13, came another eight Spouses, 87 grandchildren, 111 great-grand children, and one great-great-grandchild (at last count). Harold left a great legacy of faith, hard work, good humor, wisdom, and good stories to his family and all who knew him. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many leadership and teaching roles. He graduated from Utah State University and later taught Agricultural Management at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. When he wasn't working, Harold loved to fish, hunt, camp, and just generally do things with his family. He also loved to fly and was a private flight instructor for many years. Harold is preceded in death by his wife Vivian and two children, Stephen Paul and Kathleen, and his brother, Robert. He is survived by his children Bob and Heidi Morris, Tom and Diane Morris, Alta and Rio Chatwin, Utahna Richardson, Sam and Bonnie Morris, Peggy and Jeff Orr, GayLynne Morris, Valarie and Greg Kunz, Shane and Marcel Morris, Sarah Potter, and Deborah Morris; and his treasured "progeny." A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 24, from 6:009:00 p.m. at Wing Mortuary (118 East Main, Lehi, Utah). An additional viewing will be held at the LDS Church located at 49 East Centennial Blvd, Saratoga Springs, on Friday; from 9:3010:30 a.m., followed by Funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
