TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A Twin Falls magistrate judge has been cited for driving under the influence in Boise last month.

The Times-News reports Magistrate Judge Nicole Cannon was cited with excessive DUI April 19, which alleges she was driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 or higher. The misdemeanor charge was filed in 4th District Court on April 24. Cannon has pleaded not guilty.

Fifth Judicial District court administrator Linda Wright says Cannon told her supervisors about the DUI. Wright says Cannon will not hear DUI cases while her case is pending.

The Idaho Code of Judicial Conduct requires judges to comply with the law and conduct themselves in a manner that does not detract from public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary.
