SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento police say the suspect in a home-invasion robbery that left four people dead was a paroled gang member suspected in a separate shooting earlier that day.
Officials on Monday identified 26-year-old Xue Lor as the suspect who killed three people and critically wounded another before he was fatally shot during the attack late Saturday.
Police say robbery appears to be the motive behind the killings at the Sacramento home.
Police described Lor as a parolee subject to high supervision who was released after serving time on gun possession charges.
Investigators say Lor has been identified as a gunman in a separate shooting of a 22-year-old man 18 hours earlier.
Police are investigating whether gang connections by members of the victim's family played a role in the attack.
