Jerry Lee BoettcherGone to the CabinOur loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away June 24, 2012 surrounded by his family. He fought a courageous battle with colon cancer. Born April 17, 1937 to Hyrum Joseph Boettcher and Johanna Wilhelmina Pistorius Boettcher. Jerry married his sweetheart, Betty Denos, on August 11, 1956 in Salt Lake City. They had many wonderful years together.He is survived by his four children: Nona (Glenn) Lundberg, Kelly Jensen, Scott and Bruce Boettcher; nine grandchildren; and nine and a half great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, James (Karen) Boettcher. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sweetheart Betty, and his son-in-law Michael Jensen.Jerry loved to work and enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly at the cabin. He loved the great outdoorsfishing, hunting and riding on his tractors. He loved his friends and enjoyed spending time with them.The family is grateful for all of his caring friends and family and wishes to express special thanks and appreciation to Heartwood Hospice, and two caring doctorsDr. Tawnya Bowles and Dr. Graydon Harker.Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Millcreek 8th Ward, 4558 South 600 East, Murray. Friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray and Thursday at the church, 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake.
