Sports can provide some unbelievable moments in life.
One of those moments occurred last weekend in Park City, Utah.
This video shows an early goal for the Utah Avalance, a local girls soccer club.
This goal, however, had a special touch to it. The goal was scored by Lexe Selman. Selman, a former Alta girls soccer player and recent graduate, was diagnosed with Leukemia and has been undergoing chemotherapy.
According to a blog dedicated to Lexe's battle against Leukemia, her physician agreed to allow her to warm up and start the game. The intention was to kick the ball out of bounds and have Lexe leave the game. However, one thing led to another, and Lexe took a golden opportunity to score.
The game begins at the 1:00 minute mark of the video. Lexe is wearing a blue cap and is on the far side of the field.
