Ettie Louise Stephens BaughmanMarch 1, 1909 June 5, 2012Louise Baughman returned home to her Father in Heaven on June 5, 2012. She leaves behind a large family and friends, all of whom have been so blessed by her love and her great influence. Louise was born in Salt Lake City, March 1, 1909, to Albert and Elizabeth Stephens. Married Glen Baughman November 5, 1931, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, February 11, 1953. Glen passed away May 30, 1978. Louise is survived by her two sons Jim and Steve and daughter Carol Simmonds, 9 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.In addition to her very active church life, raising her family and holding numerous callings in the church, she was one of five women who organized the "Voluntary Pink Ladies" (the Candy Stripers) at LDS Hospital. One of her greatest pleasures has always been music. She has written, composed and played both piano and organ for over 70 years. She has directed Church musical activities, directed the Douglas Ward Choir and produced and published several albums and sheet music. She has lived a long and productive life and will be greatly missed.The family wishes to thank the staff of Emeritus Senior Living for their loving care. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Primary Children's Medical Center.
