Leila Mangum Bradford1922 ~ 2012Sandy, UtahLeila Mangum Bradford, age 90, passed away July 20, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Leila (Candy) Bradford, in Sandy, Utah, of causes incident to age. Leila was born February 10, 1922 to Montell Mangum and Lenora Tullis Mangum in Huntington, Utah. She attended East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Clive L. Bradford, November 30, 1942 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and filled varied assignments in all auxiliaries, including serving as a confidential secretary to three Bishops. She is survived by her five children, Richard Mangum Bradford (Susan), Roger C Bradford (Hollie), Susan Clark (David), David William Bradford (Martha), and Leila (Candy) Bradford. She has 25 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Leila is also survived by her sister, LaVeta Harvey, three sisters-in-law, Gwen Goaslind (Jack, deceased), Phyllis Bradshaw (William, deceased), and Barbara Bradford (Jack, deceased), and a brother-in-law, Howard Bradshaw (Afton, deceased). Our Mother was devoted to her husband and her children. She was a model of righteousness and industry. She was a gifted writer and devoted much time and energy in her later years to preserving her history and teachings for her posterity. Our parents' hearts beat in unison. They left us a legacy of loving kindness, a husband and wife devoted to the happiness of each other. We pray that our lives will be a living monument to both of them. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Intermountain Healthcare Hospice for their kind and loving care of our dear Mother. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Noon, at the Forestview Ward L.D.S. chapel at 1111 East Charleton Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah (28th South). A viewing will be held from 11-11:45 am in the Relief Society room. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City.
