CORTLAND, N.Y. — It had been a long time for LaRon Landry, and he loved every moment back on the field.
The former Pro Bowl safety practiced with the New York Jets for the first time since signing with them in March. He is coming off injuries to his Achilles and heel that shortened his season last year with Washington, and is eager to show that he can be an impact player in Rex Ryan's defense.
Landry says Saturday that he feels "100" percent physically, and "each and every snap, each and every day, I'm trying to send a message." And that message is that he's over the injuries and trying to "earn my teammates' trust."

Coach Rex Ryan says Landry will be on a "pitch count" and will not practice every day.
