Kendall Rex Jensen1943 ~ 2012Rex passed away peacefully at home on July 24, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on February 27, 1943 to K. Max and Mary Ridd Jensen in San Francisco, CA. He graduated from Granite High School, married Sheila Ray Tripp, served four years in the U. S. Air Force, graduated from Westminster College and retired from the telephone company after 32 years; later he was a volunteer for VISTA a workplace literacy program, and the 2002 Winter Olympics. He enjoyed all outdoor activities: walking, boating, skiing, hiking, rollerblading and many others; he always helped keep the trails clean by picking up garbage that was left on the trails. He spent the last 29 years of his life with his wife Marge, the love of his life who always kept him involved with their many friends and relatives: she even got him to like bowling. He is survived by his wife Marge, his brother Glade, his children Mark (Sara), Janine Christiansen (Alex), Craig (Cathy) and by his step-daughters Peggy Dickinson (Wayne), Rorie Tafoya, Sunny Leckenby (Larry), 15 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. The family gives special thanks to Dr. Mark Ott, Dr. Jonathan Whisenant, Dr. Vilija Avizonis and all of the people at Intermountain Medical Center for their compassionate care. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2012 at the Murray City Cemetery, 5490 So. Vine Street.
