Obituary: CONDIE, EARL

Earl Ellsworth Condie1929 ~ 2012Earl Ellsworth Condie peacefully returned home to his ancestors Thursday, July 26, 2012 in the SLC, UT V.A. Hospital. Born December 28, 1929 in Midvale, UT. Earl was an honorable and decorated Navy Veteran of the Korean War. After his Navy service, Earl met and married Joan Josephson, his soul mate, in SLC, UT and they were later sealed in the SLC LDS Temple. They became proud parents of two adopted children. He gave many years of dedicated service to his family, church, and work. He is greatly loved and will be greatly missed.Preceded in death by parents Ellsworth Condie and Mary Price and elder siblings Jim Condie and Betty Wilson. He leaves behind wife Joan, son Ted (Stacey) and daughter Sally Jo Burgess (Scott). Also survived by grandchildren Kelsey and Kyle Condie and Earl's younger siblings Maxine Christensen, and Paul Condie.A viewing will be held Wednesday, August 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, SLC, UT. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012, 11:00 am at the LDS McKay Ward, 1623 South 500 East, SLC, UT with a viewing at 10:00. Burial to follow at Lake Hills Cemetery, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, UT.
