I have a solution for the UTA fare conundrum. Let's ask our overly-compensated executives to take responsibility for making less than genius decisions about UTA fares. Let's bring their compensation down to reasonable levels, and we likely will save enough to keep serving a public that has been loyal to their system.

If they raise rates and drive away ridership, we will have to raise rates again to make up for the loss of revenue. This can develop into a vicious circle. Don't reward this kind of leadership.
