Hal Starr Dow11/29/194308/01/2012I was born in Tooele, UT to W. Mack and Alta E. (Grandma Betty) Dow. Graduated Tooele HS in June 1963, and Applied Technical College 1981. I had a 38-yr. career in the mining and oil industry. Married the love of my life, Sharon Ann Paul on 02/19/1965. Survived by wife Sharon; daughters, Stacy Ann Dow of Monroe, NC, and Terri Lynn Morris of Sandy, UT; 4 grandchildren, Matt and Kolby Penland of Monroe, NC, and Wyley and Ellie Morris of Sandy, UT; brother, Wayne Mack Dow (Carolyn); and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, Lauren Everett Dow. I loved to golf, bowl and spend time with family and friends. I would like to thank the Utah Cancer Institute and Dr. Kent DiFiore, MD, for their special care during my battle with cancer. In my 68-yr. journey of life I would like to thank my family and friends for living, laughing, and loving my life with me what a journey it has been. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South. There will be a viewing Saturday from 12-1:30 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So.
