David R. Gillespie1934 ~ 2012David R. Gillespie passed away at his home in Santa Clara, UT on July 30, 2012. Dave was born on Dec. 22, 1934, to Clyde C. and Laura J. Gillespie. He married the love of his life Alice Chipman on May 6, 1961, together they had four children. Dave worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in SLC, UT, until he retired and they moved to Santa Clara, UT. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and they loved him equally.He is survived by: his wife Alice; children, Mark Gillespie, Susan (Tim) Mills, Jennifer (Shawn) Reddington, and Karen (Troy) Jones; a sister Joyce (Kenny) Stout; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, sisters Sarah, Betty, Doris and Uarda.Graveside services will be Monday, August 6, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery, located at 2350 E. 1300 S. Salt Lake City, UT. A gathering for family and friends will be Sunday, evening August 5, 2012. From 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the SereniCare Funeral Home located at 12278 S. Lone Peak Parkway #103, Draper, UT.
