LONDON — Marksman Niccolo Campriani of Italy won the men's 50-meter rifle three positions at the London Olympics on Monday after setting an Olympic record in qualifying.

Campriani shot 1,180 in the preliminaries to lead the field by eight points. Earlier, the Italian won silver in the 10-meter air rifle.

Kim Jong-hyun of South Korea won silver after overtaking Matthew Emmons of the United States in the last of the final's 10 shooting rounds. Emmons won the bronze medal.
