June Rose Wright Coon1920~2012Having lived a full and productive life, our loving mother, June Rose Wright Coon, passed away at age 92 on 5 September 2012. June was born 18 June 1920 in Portland, Oregon to Warren LaVon Wright and Ada "Peggy" Thomas Wright. June married Herbert Clyde Coon on 31 December 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple.She attended Murray High School and then Utah State University in dietary science. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Northern States Mission, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Later she served a mission with her husband in Nauvoo, Illinois.June loved to travel with Clyde. They saw many parts of the world together. She loved history and was very interested in seeing the places where important events had taken place. She loved to see world sites such as the Great Wall of China or the ruins in Greece but was particularly interested in seeing the sites associated with her beloved America's history.June and Clyde had great friends. They were avid dancers all of their lives and were members of the High-Steppers Dance Club for more than 50 years. They were involved in a Book of Mormon Study Club for most of their married life. She loved to play bridge. She was very competitive when playing games. She loved to win.June was the mother of six children. Sally June died shortly after birth. June raised five children who brought her much pleasure and satisfaction. She taught her children to love and respect the things that were important for their growth and progression. She ran an orderly and welcoming home to all who came. Sunday dinners were always "gourmet". She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.June is survived by her only brother, Dr. Jay W. Wright (Jean); her children, Claudia Sundberg (Marlin), Tiffany Lundberg (Brent), Martin Clyde Coon (LuAnn Griffin), Paula Pulver (Brent), Virginia "Ginger" Winegar (Lorin); 27 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Clyde Coon; her sister, LaDean Bird; her daughter, Sally June Coon; and her grandson, Paul Pulver.A viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street in Murray, Utah from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, 14 September 2012. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 15 September 2012 at the Little Cottonwood 5th Ward Chapel at 6350 South Rodeo Lane (1545 East), Murray, Utah 84121 at 11:00 A.M. with a viewing from 10:00-10:45 A.M.
