SALT LAKE CITY — In preparation for the 2012-13 season, the Utah Jazz will open its training camp on Oct. 2 at Zions Bank Basketball Center, marking the fourth straight season the Jazz will hold camp in Salt Lake City.

Training camp will culminate with the Jazz's annual open scrimmage on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 4 p.m. at EnergySolutions Arena. The free event is open to the public (no tickets required) and will mark Jazz fans' first chance to see the 2012-13 edition of the team, including returning Jazzmen Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap, Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward, as well as new additions Marvin Williams, Mo Williams and Randy Foye.

JAZZ SIGN 4 FREE AGENTS: Utah has signed free-agent center Brian Butch, forward Trey Gilder, forward Darnell Jackson and guard Chris Quinn. All four players will join the Jazz prior to next week's training camp at Zions Bank Basketball Center. With the four additions, Utah's roster now stands at 19 players.

Jackson (6-9, 253, Kansas) has appeared in 138 NBA games (four starts) in three seasons with Cleveland, Milwaukee and most recently Sacramento. Quinn (6-2, 175, Notre Dame) has appeared in 234 games over five NBA seasons for the Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets and San Antonio Spurs.
