Marjorie Lynnafred Simons Henze1938 ~ 2012Beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend, Marjorie Lynnafred Simons Henze of Kuna, Idaho passed away Sunday, September 2nd at the age of 74.She was born August 25, 1938, to Harold Earl Simons and Mabel Fredda Olson Simons. She was the 9th of 10 children. She graduated from Granite High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, and was married to Ronald Ernst Henze Sr. for the past 54 years. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.In her teen years Marj was an accomplished clarinet player, tap dancer, tennis player, softball player and model. She also served in high school student council. Marj was an active advocate for children. She ran an in-home childcare service while raising her own three children. She later ran a commercial childcare and preschool called "My Little Margies", plus co-administrated "Food for Kids" and developed "Classroom on Wheels (COW)" for the State of Nevada. She served as President of the Clark County Childcare Association and the Nevada Child Care Association, and as a member of the Nevada State Child Welfare Board. She lobbied for children in the Nevada State Capital and Washington DC. Marj was loved by so many who she touched through her service in childcare.Marj was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings throughout her life. Most important to Marj was Christlike service and love she consistently demonstrated as a Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. Marj's greatest attributes are an incredibly positive attitude, a shining smile, and a very contagious laugh.Marj is survived by her husband, Ronald Ernst Henze Sr.: her three children: Ronald Ernst Henze Jr., Michael Troy Henze, and Marjorie Kendall Henze Peterson; six of her siblings: Dorothy Simons Johansen, Spencer W. Simons, Beverly Simons Merrill, Bonnie Simons Malmrose, Dan C. Simons, and Harvey L. Simons: 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Marj was preceded in death by her parents, her infant son, Emil Earl Henze, and her brothers: John, Earl and Fred Simons.Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 8th at the LDS Church, 224 E. Avalon St. in Kuna with a graveside service immediately following at the Kuna Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 7th at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa, Idaho (467-7300) and at the church from 12 to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, prior to the services.
