Brett Barrett'BUDMAN'"I lived, I loved, I laughed, & I beat my initial cancer!Brett lost his battle to Ocular Melanoma Cancer on Wednesday January 16, 2013. Brett was an inspiring man to all, when it came to living his life to the fullest. Brett lived everyday with the most positive attitude and always wanted to help others, and show them how you should live every day. Brett was born in Salt Lake County General hospital on February 14, 1960 to Gene Vickers Barrett and Winona Harward Barrett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Emma. Brett is survived by his wife Elaine Barrett; 4 children; Sosa Rossell (Bill), George Barrett (Illa), Cody Barrett, and Beau Barrett; 3 grandchildren, Roxanne Barrett, Charlie Rossell, Ben Rossell; brother & sister-in-laws; Arte Montanesi (Debbie), Linda Trujillo (Bill T); sisters & brother Pam Olsen (Kirk), Vicky Hanson (Keith), Robert Jon Schmitt, and many nieces and nephews that he loved and adored. Brett and Elaine were married 28 wonderful years; they were life long friends and soul mates. Time together was spent traveling, laughing and always making time for friends, family and CARS! Brett traveled all over for his car shows to show off his pride and joy, Dodge Challenger 08 with 932 horsepower. Brett had a passion for life, family, friends, and making others happy. One of his biggest joys was during the holiday season displaying over 150 blow ups for Christmas. Brett enjoyed putting up all of his holiday blow ups for the neighbors and all of the kids to come and see. Brett was loved by so many people; he will continue to be loved by all of his family and friends. The family wishes to thank the extraordinary friends and the gifted medical professionals at Dr. Grossman's office and staff at the Huntsman Cancer Center, Dr. David Jack and his staff, who attended and brought joy to him during all of these tough times. Services will be on Saturday, January 19, 2013, 12:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, with a viewing prior 10-11:45 a.m. The family would like donations to be made to the Huntsman Cancer Center in lieu of flowers.
