Elmon Jay Hendrickson1919 ~ 2013Elmon Jay Hendrickson was born August 11, 1919 in Payson, Utah to Arthur Frederick Hendrickson and Edna LeBaron Hendrickson. He served in the US Army in World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He married Ivena Ann Terry in September 1941 and they had seven children. He was a successful farmer, a profession he loved. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He served as patriarch in the Payson West Stake for many years. He moved to Salem, Oregon in 2004. He is survived by his children-LouAnn (John) Talcott of Springville, Utah; Patsy Hendrickson of Salt Lake City, Utah; Shirl (Connie) Hendrickson, of Eugene, Oregon; Darlene (Ken) Withers of West Valley City, Utah; Don (Leah) Hendrickson of Hillsboro, Oregon; Jane (Mark) Thomas of Salem, Oregon; and a Sister LaNita Taylor, and brothers Milton Hendrickson and Ross Hendrickson. He also had 17 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parent, his wife Ivena, and siblings LaMar Hendrickson, George Welton Hendrickson, Rulon Hendrickson and Mary Rasmussen.Funeral services will be held at the West Mountain LDS Chapel 5237 W. 10400 S. Payson, Utah at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Friends and family are invited to a viewing an hour and a half before the service. Burial will be immediately following the funeral in the Payson City Cemetery.
