Clark Weaver Brimhall1923 ~ 2013Our Loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Clark Weaver Brimhall passed away peacefully while holding the hand of his beloved wife on January 27, 2013.Clark was born on Oct 25, 1923 to Lee Hyrum and Florence Stevenson Brimhall in Denver, CO. He was raised in Jacksonville, FL. from the age of one until he went into the Army, serving in World War II. He stated that he served in the mission field for 18 years, as he lived with his family in Jacksonville while his father served the LDS church in the Southern States Mission. He received his BS degree from Idaho State and his master's from the U of U. He married Martell Erickson, whom he adored, on April 20th 1956, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He and Marty have four boys, all of whom learned to be hard workers while they worked alongside their Dad building numerous custom homes along the Wasatch Front. Clark was a faithful member of the LDS church, serving in a variety of callings in the Monument Park 10th ward for the last 50 years. Clark was an old school athlete, playing and coaching college football at Idaho State. He also coached track and swimming at West high and taught math at Lincoln Jr and West High. There was not a day when Clark was out in public that a former student or athlete did not recognize him and came up to say hi and thank him for mentoring them. He is a hero to many.He is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Doris, Lee and Howard. Survived by his wife, Martell and sons, Brad (Karen), Rob (Wendy), Greg (Nancy) and Eric (Tawnya), 20 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 31 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Foothill 2nd Ward Building (1933 S. 2100 E). A viewing will be held the evening prior, Jan 30 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, (3401 S Highland Dr.) and the day of the service at the LDS Church from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
