Glen J. PalmerFeb 22, 1934- Dec 30, 2012Glen Palmer died suddenly and peacefully of a stroke, on Sunday evening, in the loving arms of his wife and surrounded by his family. Glen was born and raised on the family farm in South Jordan, Utah, the son of Leo D and Lucile Mackay Palmer. He joined the US Navy at the age of 17 and served for four years on the USS Samuel N. Moore. He married Nola Jane Thomas on December 18, 1953 and recently celebrated their 59th anniversary. First and foremost, Glen was a devoted husband and father. He owned construction and trucking businesses in CA and WA. He was a lover of music and studied voice at the Cornish School in Seattle. He found great joy in sharing his music with others. Survived by his wife Nola, Sisters Margie Thomas and Kay (Donn) Graham; Brothers Guy (Lynda) and Van (Sharon), Son, Russell, Daughters Andrea (Jeff) Wade and Carol Whalen, granddaughters, McCall and Gentry Wade, Bristol and Desirae Whalen, Lydia (Andrew) Sage, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services to be held at the South Jordan River Ridge Stake Center, 10194 South 1000 West, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 5th. Viewings Friday, January 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Jenkins Soffe South Valley Mortuary, 1007 W South Jordan Pkwy (10600 S) and prior to services at Stake Center from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
