Elna Clark Yergensen1928 ~ 2013Elna C Yergensen, 84, our beloved grandmother and great grandmother returned home to her Heavenly Father on January 26, 2013 to be reunited with her mother and sister.Born August 28, 1928 in Coalville, Utah to Lyla Ellen Huffman and LeGrande Clark. Elna graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Elementary Education. She married RL Yergensen on February 15, 1957 in the Manti LDS Temple.The newlyweds began their life together on a building mission in Samoa. A life of service and love, Elna touched the lives of many people, especially the lives of those she considered family. You didn't have to share DNA to be family, just her heart. If you needed a mom or a grandma, her door was always open and a bed available.Survived by her husband and six children, Tai (Marie) Yergensen, Lem Manoa, Rlynn (Chunhong) Yergensen, Niels (Lonnie) Yergensen, Kim (Lee) Young, Sue (Kevin) Peterson, 17 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, plus the others she loved as family.Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. Viewings will be held Friday, February 1, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. and the day of service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All services will be held at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary and Cemetery, 10600 South 1950 East, Sandy, UT.
