Myrle Cox Schrenk Elwood1932 ~ 2013Our sweet mother and grandmother Myrle Cox Schrenk Elwood, 81, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2013.Myrle was born January 14, 1932, in Victor, Utah to Lyman Ray Cox and Anna Dora Christensen, (both deceased). Myrle was the youngest of seven children; Clyde, Loyal, Opal, Dean, June and Fern (all deceased). Myrle married Don Allen Schrenk (later divorced). They had two children, Allen Eli and Jeri Lyn. She later married R. Eugene Elwood (deceased).Myrle has been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings that she thoroughly enjoyed. One of her favorite callings was with the "Special Sisters" of the ward. She loved supporting them and planning activities.Myrle is survived by her son Allen Schrenk; son-in-law Glen Taylor; four grandchildren: Heidi (Rick) Rawley, Colette (Scott) Hunt, Heather (Travis) Reginek, and Gregory (Ashley) Butterfield; six great grandchildren: Dakota, Austin, Macenzie, Colton, Maquel and Noah. Preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, loving husband Gene, and beautiful daughter Jeri Lyn.Funeral services will be held Friday, February 1, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Olympus Cove Ward, 3832 East Oakview Drive (4275 South). Viewings will be held Thursday 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So., Sandy, and Friday 10:30-11:45 a.m. at the Ward. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
