SPANISH FORK — The Nebo School Board is seeking to fill a vacancy that will be left by the resignation of board member Rod Oldroyd.

Oldroyd, who has served on the board for six years, said he is resigning effective Feb. 13 due to obligations to his family, career, and ecclesiastical calling as a stake president in the LDS Church.

Oldroyd expressed his gratitude for the school board, employees, students, and patrons of Nebo School District.

“The employees of Nebo work for more than money," Oldroyd said. "Their work shows the love that they have for the students of this district and their desire for the student’s success.”

The board will take action to fill the vacancy during its regularly scheduled meeting on Feb. 13. Interviews for the position will be conducted that same day in an open meeting beginning at 1 p.m. Both meetings will be held at Nebo District offices, 350 S. Main, Spanish Fork. The appointment will be for a two-year period ending December 2014.
